Install Waldo for Slack
Connect your Slack workspace to receive AI-powered research notifications and digests directly in your channels. Waldo uses large language models to generate research summaries and insights. As with any AI-generated content, responses may occasionally contain inaccuracies and should be verified before acting on them.
How to install
The integration for Slack is installed from within your Waldo workspace. Follow these steps to get started:
- Sign in to Waldo
Go to waldo.fyi and sign in to your account. If you don't have an account yet, sign up for free.
- Open Space Settings
Navigate to the space where you want to receive Slack notifications, then open the space settings.
- Connect Slack
In the Notifications section, find the Slack tab and click Connect to Slack. You'll be prompted to authorize Waldo in your Slack workspace.
- Choose a channel
Select the Slack channel where you'd like to receive notifications and digests from this space.
What Waldo sends to Slack
Once connected, Waldo posts messages to your chosen Slack channel based on the notification settings you configure in each space:
- Research digests — periodic summaries of new signals and insights collected by Waldo's AI research agents, delivered on a cadence you choose (daily, weekly, etc.)
- Signal alerts — real-time notifications when Waldo detects noteworthy activity such as new competitor ads, trending topics, or brand mentions
Waldo does not read or respond to messages in Slack. It only posts outbound notifications to the channel you select. You can adjust the notification cadence and types at any time from your space settings in Waldo.
AI-generated content disclaimer
